Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother are both authors as well as editors. Ryder's father was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She has a younger brother Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was only seven years old.
