Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. She began her modeling career in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land the role for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. In the beginning, it was difficult for Amy switching from modeling to acting. This is because most models don't have the ability to act. And they are usually only given small, insignificant parts. Amy did not give up and she eventually landed larger parts in the movies Varsity Blues and The 70s.
